Attitude

“The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life.

Attitude to me is more important than facts. It is more important

than the past, than education, than

money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than

what other people think of say or do. It is more important than

appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company

..a church..a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice

every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day.

We cannot change our past…we cannot change the fact that

people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable.

The only thing  can do is play on the one thing we have,

and that is our attitude. I am convinced that life is 10% what

happens to me and 90% how I react to it. And so it is with you..

we are in charge of our attitudes.”

Something to think about.

  1. This is one of my favorite quotes, one I have read and reread throughout the years. The attitude we choose each day sets the stage for how we perceive ourselves and the world around us, how respond to others, and how we address challenges. Since I started practicing mindfulness and choosing my daily attitude, I spend less time dwelling on my imperfections, rehashing mistakes I have made, and being haunted by painful memories. I feel a greater sense of personal power and responsibility in making each day fulfilling and worthwhile. I can choose to use each day as a stepping stone for a better tomorrow. Thank you for the inspirational reminder!

  2. Great quote! And it is something to think about. Thanks for the reminder.
